Heartbreaking Discovery

In a devastating turn of events, a father in New York received a call to work at the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash, only to discover later that his own son was the victim. 

Tyler Beschorner, 29, tragically lost his life in the collision on Route 363 in Binghamton, New York, on Feb. 17.

Unaware Father Called to the Scene

Cory Beschorner, Tyler’s father and a worker for the New York State Department of Transportation, was called in to assist with road closures following the incident. 

Little did he know that his own son was the one who had been killed. Cory expressed the profound shock and devastation upon realizing the tragic truth, describing it as one of their worst nightmares.

Investigation Ongoing

The Binghamton Police Department is actively investigating Tyler Beschorner’s death. Captain Cory Minor appealed to the community for any information that could aid in the investigation, emphasizing the significance of even the smallest details. 

The family is desperate for answers and pleading for the responsible party to come forward.

Family’s Heartache

Tyler Beschorner’s family is grappling with immense grief and disbelief over their loss. 

Shanay Beschorner, Tyler’s mother, spoke of the profound impact on Tyler’s young son, Jayden, who is struggling to come to terms with the loss of his father. Despite their pain, the family is focused on supporting one another and remembering Tyler’s legacy.

Support for Funeral Expenses

In the wake of this tragedy, a family friend has initiated a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses and establish a trust for Tyler’s son, Jayden. 

The outpouring of support from the community serves as a reminder of the strength and solidarity in times of profound loss.
