New York City is gearing up for an extraordinary event as Mary J. Blige and Pepsi offer the “Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit.” 

Set to take place over Mother’s Day Weekend, this three-day extravaganza promises inspiring programming, captivating performances, and insightful panels on topics ranging from mental health to financial literacy.

Mary J. Blige expressed her excitement about bringing the Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit to her hometown, New York City. 

She emphasized the city’s role as a constant source of inspiration and her commitment to uplifting and empowering her community through this festival.

Event Details: 

The summit will be held at The Glasshouse in New York City, followed by a concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Special guests slated to appear include 50 Cent, Jill Scott, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Lola Brooke, and Funk Flex.

Purpose of the Event: 

The Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit aims to inspire and create opportunities for women and underrepresented groups. 

The event seeks to empower attendees and foster personal and professional growth through workshops and panels focused on wellness, culture, finance, entrepreneurship, style, and beauty.

Hosts and Admission: 

Jess Hilarious will host the event from The Breakfast Club and journalist/podcaster Gia Peppers. Doors open at 9:30 am, and admission is free.

Event Schedule:

  • Day 1 (Friday, May 10th): Jazz Concert at Blue Note Jazz Club
  • Day 2 (Saturday, May 11th): Panels on female empowerment featuring keynote speakers such as Mary J. Blige, Taraji P. Henson, and Angie Martinez, as well as performances by Robert Glasper. The day concludes with the Strength of a Woman Concert at Barclays Center.
  • Day 3 (Sunday, May 12th): Gospel Brunch at Brooklyn Chophouse in Times Square.
