March is drawing to a close, and with it comes the anticipation of lottery madness as Powerball enthusiasts eagerly await the latest jackpot drawing.

The Powerball Jackpot Soars to $935 Million:

Saturday’s Powerball drawing revealed the winning numbers: 12, 13, 33, 50, and 52, with a PowerBall of 23. The grand jackpot prize reached an astonishing $935 million, marking nearly three months without a Powerball jackpot winner. A tempting one-time cash option is worth $452.3 million alongside this massive sum.

Winners of the Powerball jackpot face a crucial decision: opting for 30 payments spread over 29 years or seizing the lump-sum payout. Historically, most winners opt for the latter, drawn in by the immediate windfall.

Previous Winners and Record-Breaking Jackpots:

Saturday’s drawing is scheduled amid recent news of the $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot a fortunate Los Angeles woman won in July 2023.

Opting for the cash option, she walked away with a staggering $558.1 million. However, this pales in comparison to the largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history, a jaw-dropping $2.04 billion claimed by a single Powerball ticket holder in California on November 7, 2022. The winner, Edwin Castro, emerged after months of intense speculation.

Powerball: A National Obsession:

Powerball’s allure extends across 45 states, including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

With drawings held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, the nation eagerly awaits each new opportunity to strike it rich.
