Introduction: Legal Battle Unfolds

A New York Police Department officer, Alisa Bajraktarevic, has initiated legal action against the NYPD after nude photos she shared with her former lieutenant boyfriend resurfaced and were allegedly circulated among colleagues.

The lawsuit sheds light on the distressing ordeal that has derailed Bajraktarevic’s career and tarnished her professional reputation.

Details of Lawsuit: Allegations and Claims

In her lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Bajraktarevic, a 34-year-old NYPD officer who joined the force in 2012, alleges that she shared the intimate photos with Lieutenant Mark Rivera, with whom she had a brief relationship when she first joined the department.

However, Rivera allegedly disseminated the images to other officers via a group text, triggering the circulation of the photos within the department.

Union Delegates’ Response: Alleged Discouragement

According to reports, union delegates purportedly dissuaded Bajraktarevic from filing a complaint, insinuating that such incidents were not uncommon. This alleged lack of support compounded Bajraktarevic’s distress and hindered her pursuit of justice.

Resurfacing of Photos: Legal and Personal Consequences

The situation worsened for Bajraktarevic when the nude photos resurfaced amid an unrelated incident involving her boyfriend, Kelvin Hernandez.

Following an altercation with officers in the Bronx, Hernandez faced charges, leading to further scrutiny of Bajraktarevic’s personal and professional life.

Violation of Privacy: Shared Photos and Personal Information

Bajraktarevic contends that the dissemination of her private photos, coupled with the sharing of personal information such as her parents’ address, constitutes a flagrant violation of her privacy and dignity. The ordeal has left her feeling degraded and mistreated by her colleagues.

Impact and Response: Seeking Justice

In her conversation with the New York Post, Bajraktarevic expressed her profound disappointment and frustration, emphasizing the need for accountability and respect within the department.

She asserts that her actions were made in confidence and should not result in such egregious treatment.

As the legal battle unfolds, Bajraktarevic seeks redress for the harm inflicted upon her and hopes to hold accountable those responsible for the unauthorized dissemination of her intimate photos.
